MISSION
Based on the vision of the Development Economics Study Program and considering the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges that exist at the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta, the Development Economics Study Program has the following missions:
Organizing education in the field of economics in terms of intellectual, moral, IT-based, and entrepreneurial mentality based on Islamic values so as to form graduates who are independent, responsible and able to adapt their expertise as needed, and
Carrying out research and community service in the field of Professional Economics in a sustainable manner
Profile of Graduates of the Development Economics Study Program

Graduate profiles indicate the roles graduates can play in a particular area of expertise upon completion of their studies. Based on the standards of the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI), the profiles of graduates from level 6 undergraduate programs are:
Able to utilize science and technology in their field of expertise, and able to adapt to situations encountered in solving problems.
Mastering the theoretical concepts of certain fields of knowledge in general and the theoretical concepts of specific sections in the field of knowledge in depth, and able to formulate procedural problem solving.
Able to make strategic decisions based on analysis of information and data, and provide guidance in choosing various alternative solutions.
Responsible for own work and can be given responsibility for achieving organizational results.
